Chocolate Day!!!

Yep, today was Chocolate Day in our Third Grade Classrooms.  We researched the history of chocolate, did chocolate fractions, wrote a chocolate poem and then made dirt cake.  We also made chocolate covered spoons and ate chocolate dipped marshmallows and pretzels.  The kiddos were sugared up for sure!!!

This was all done as a culminating activity after reading the book The Chocolate Touch.  And, it just so happened that it was the same day as our Valentine's Party.  (Yes, we did ours today since Valentine's Day is on a Thursday).

I hope to be posting some pictures soon.  So excited to see I have 6 followers already since I just got up and running on Wednesday this week.
